Quasi-Blog:

November 22, 2009:
This semester has flown by faster than any before it. I fly back to Texas on Wednesday for the break. Before the semester finishes, I still have a grant proposal, a research paper, a PowerPoint project, two lab reports, and four final exams to study for. So there is no shortage of stuff to do. Come to think of it, I really shouldn't be writing this when I have all of that to do.

I am on my third rotation now. Dr. Jeraj is probably the largest group in the department. They are involved in image guided therapy. I like the diversity of the research being done in the group. A lot of it pushes the boundaries of medical physics and is very desirable for that reason. Unfortunately, the group is too large to take new students.

The only other thing I wanted to share was this image:

I took it in Ohio, while visiting Brian Manchen, and upon closer inspection found that it looks exactly like a painting. Click on it to see it in its full size and see what I mean. I guess there was some kind of filtering effect going on to create this look.
